for businesses
Standard Business Sponsorship
(SBS)
SBS is an agreement with the Australian government
that allows certain Australian Businesses to sponsor
highly skilled overseas workers.
-
If you are looking to sponsor highly skilled overseas workers, you will need to become a standard business sponsor.
-
Once an approved sponsor, you can sponsor these individuals to work for you on a TSS Visa (Subclass 482) or a Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visa (Subclass 494).
Temporary Activities
Sponsorship
(TAS)
TAS is a class of sponsor that allows you to sponsor
an applicant for up to five years under certain visas.
-
If you wish to sponsor overseas workers for occupational training and development purposes with the Training Visa (subclass 407), you will need to become an approved temporary activities sponsor.
Nomination
Service
Nomination is the process of identifying a position to be filled by an overseas skilled worker in a business.
-
Depending on the visa type and stream and the desired occupation, you may need to be approved as a sponsor or you may need to have negotiated a labour agreement with the Department.
Labour
Agreement
Labour agreements are formal contracts negotiated between Australian employers and the Australian Government under certain circumstances.
-
If your business is experiencing skill shortages due to its regional location, you may be eligible for the Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA).
-
Once the DAMA labour agreement is approved for your business, you will be able to sponsor workers through the TSS Visa (Subclass 482) or a Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visa (Subclass 494).
