Our client, IBA STEEL, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Carpenter to join their team.

IBA STEEL is a specialist carpentry and steel-fixing company working across both residential and commercial projects. Their scope includes carpentry, formwork, steel-structure installations, and steel fixing, with ongoing and upcoming projects throughout Queensland.

They are seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to support their growing team. The successful candidate will work across a variety of projects, undertaking structural and formwork carpentry, setting out, and other construction-related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform carpentry and formwork tasks to a high standard on residential and commercial construction sites

• Read, interpret, and apply building plans, drawings, and specifications

• Construct, install, and repair formwork, framing, doors, windows, fixtures, and structural outdoor features

• Use and maintain hand tools and power tools safely, following WHS and manufacturer guidelines

• Ensure construction sites remain safe, organised, and compliant with workplace safety requirements

• Measure, cut, shape, and join timber and other construction materials

• Follow safe work method statements (SWMS) and adhere to all construction-site safety protocols

• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, trades, apprentices, and subcontractors

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Carpenter

• Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification)

• Strong understanding of construction methods, timber framing, and formwork

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications

• White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate)

• Skilled in safe use of hand tools and power tools

• Attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Reliable transport and a valid Australian driver’s licence
