Salary: $69,000 - $75,000 + Super

Our client Fresh Meats, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Butcher to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Prepare, cut, trim, bone, and portion meat products including beef, lamb, pork, and poultry
Operate and maintain butchery equipment such as slicers, saws, mincers, and knives
Prepare meat for display, packaging, weighing, pricing, and labelling
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation
Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of meat products
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
Provide advice to customers on meat selection, storage, and preparation (if customer-facing)
Assist in training junior staff or apprentices as required
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) or equivalent qualification
Relevant work experience as a butcher (preferred for visa purposes)
Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
Knowledge of Australian food safety standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
Willing to sponsor the right candidate under the Subclass 482 or Subclass 494 (Labour Agreement) visa
