Our Client Press, Dubbo is seeking a highly motivated & enthusiastic Chef to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing and directing the food preparation process
Cook all menu items to recipe specifications
Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
Correct recipe portioning of food, place it on plates, and add gravies, sauces and garnishes
Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
Maintain high standards and food handling practices
Be a team player
Plan menu and estimate food requirements with Head Chef
Train junior kitchen staff
Ordering and receiving stocks
Budget control by portion control and minimum wastage policy
Ensure Workplace Health and Safety practices are in placed at all times
To be considered:
Relevant qualification
2+ years experience in a similar role
