Mercure Wagga Wagga seeking a highly motivated & enthusiastic hospitality professional to become a full time Food and Beverage Manager.


Responsibilities:


  • Total management responsibility for the operation of the food and beverage operations.

  • Supervising the food and beverage operations within the Hotel and coordinating service to achieve consistency and a high level of guest satisfaction.

  •  Consistently developing and improve product knowledge within the food and beverage department to ensure ability to take advantage of opportunities for up selling and suggestive selling.

  • Responding to guest enquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner, taking responsibility to ensure maximum guest satisfaction at all times.

  • Coordinating service and production with the kitchen and Food and Beverage Attendants to achieve a consistently high standard of service and product thus ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Responsible for the outlet achieving budgeted profit through monitoring product, labour costs and wastage.

  • Preparing rosters in advance according to forecasted occupancy and events to ensure prompt service whilst controlling wage costs.

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels during all food and beverage shifts to ensure the best service within the forecast wage cost.

  • Recruitment of staff in conjunction with Hotel Management and Human Resources.

  • Training of food and beverage staff.

To be eligible for this role:


  • Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a comparable position.

  • Motivating attitude and initiative.

  • Ability to positively lead a team and supervise staff.
