Position: Pastry Chef 
Location: Milton 
Work type: Full time 

Bakery in Milton - seeking a hardworking and passionate pastry chef. 

To qualify you must have at least 2 years of experience and relevant qualification(s) 



Duties: 
  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
  • Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
  • Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
  • Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
  • Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
  • Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel
  • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards

I am Anton Vijith from Sri Lanka and currently working in UAE-Abu Dhabi as a Head Pastry Chef. Overall I have around 14 years experience in Pastry Department and more than 6 years worked as a Head Pastry Chef. I have experience in several countries like UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.

 SIT31016 Certificate IV in Patisserie from Australian Skills Management institute, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
 SIT40716 Certificate III in Patisserie from Australian Skills Management institute, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
 Successfully completed the fundamentals of International Cookery Course conducted by Lanka International Hotel School-Sri Lanka.
When I worked in Qatar I participated Culinary art Competition at Doha Qatar and I was won a bronze Medal for Chocolate Show Piece Category.
In my Current roll I am handling a business together with management and build up it to get more profit as introducing new menu, Seasonal Cake and Desserts for Customer Satisfaction.
