Responsibilities of Role:
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation issues & menu items with Director and Head Chef
- Demonstrating cooking techniques
- Advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing and cooking foods according to menu and recipe specifics
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene and safety regulations
- Freezing and preserving foods where required
- Meeting high standards set by the employer
- Planning menu, estimating food and labour costs with upper management
- Ordering food supplies
- Training junior kitchen staff
To be considered:
- A qualification in cookery
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for cooking
