Salary: $52,000 - $55,000
Location: Orange, NSW
We are a fine dining restaurant in busy in Orange, servicing our customers 5 days a week. The Restaurant serves contemporary Italian & French influenced food using mostly local produce & other specially sourced items that conform to our highly selective criteria.
We are looking for a Chef to join us!
Key Duties:
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs and ordering food supplies
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing and cooking food
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- May select and train staff
- May freeze and preserve foods
The Person:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Exposure to fine dining or large events
- Friendly and attentive qualities
- Good communication skills
