Our client is a unique and majestic restaurant is housed inside an iconic barn located in 
Berrima, NSW. It's the go to venue not only for delectable dishes, but beautiful coffee and wine.On their current menu, you'll find everything from local free-range chicken, 
pork belly, Toulouse sausage and cannellini beans, to char-grilled marinated lamb skewers with Persian wild rice salad, tzatziki and harissa. A range of wood-fired pizzas are also available.

 Your duties will include:
- Producing high quality dishes.
- Prepping duties as required.
- Coordinating with our other cooks/chefs (we are a busy kitchen team!)
- Reporting to head chef and following instructions.
- Cooking breakfast, lunch, dinner, function food.
- Supervising junior staff (e.g. kitchen hands).

To be eligible for this role:
- 3+ years experience in a similar setting.

Your duties will include:
Overseeing cash flow and day-to-day operations of the bar
Master the wine and bar menus to guide customers through their own unique dining experience

Hiring and management of staff, including rostering and training
Provide guests with friendly and professional service in a well-maintained environment
Assisting with ordering and inventory, maintain and stocking all items

2+ years experience in managing a hospitality venue

Position: Pastry Cook

The Continental Cake Shop Canberra was established in March 2015 by a small experienced team consisting of; a cake business owner, a manager and a pastry cake Chef. The founder of the Continental Cake Shop soon realised the limitations along side with low customer satisfaction which was presented by the cake franchise. Upon realising this after all the years of experience, it was soon decided to build such a cake store where the desire to create and make the most stunning and flavoursome cakes and desserts for all the locals here in Canberra could run freely with no limitations. We are currently seeking a full time pastry cook to join our team. 

Your duties will include: 
- Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
- Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
- Preparing pastry fillings
- Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
- Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products  
- Glazing pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing  
- Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits
- Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment
- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
 
To be considered, you should:
- Have a Certificate IV in Patisserie or higher
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Have great communication skills
- Have an artistic flair

• preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• may plan menus and estimate food requirements
• following instructions from high level chefs

To be considered for this position, you should have an Australian qualification in Commercial Cookery and 1.5+ years experience in a commercial setting. The Coast also believes the most important aspect is the correct attitude - gets along well with other team members, a great attention to detail and always willing to learn.
