Jean Louis Joseph is an European inspired delicatessen and cafe located in Sydney. They create deli-style grazing tables and offer gourmet catering perfect for various events. They are now searching for a full time chef to join their team!
Duties:
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff.
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
- Preparing and cooking food.
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.
- May select and train staff.
- May freeze and preserve foods.
To be considered for this role:
- Have at least 1+ years’ experience in a similar setting
- Qualification in cookery/ hospitality
- An eagerness to learn
- Be able to work well in a busy, team environment
