* Salary : $55,000 + Superannuation
Due to the success of our business, we currently require a motivated and enthusiastic Floor finisher in our team.
To be considered for the position, it is essential that you :
- Certificate 3 in Flooring Technology
- Enjoy practical work
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Normal colour vision
- Have your own transport and tools
- Great communication skills
- Be willing to learn and take direction
- Be reliable and hard working
- Be a team player
The successful applicant will perform all aspects and duties including :
- Ensure floors are firm, dry and clean, and repair minor defects before laying coverings
- Measure areas to be covered, and estimate and order quantities of floor coverings
- Fix underlays of hardboard sheets, rubber or felt
- Lay covering materials over the floor, match patterns, cut shapes around fixtures and trim edges
- Fix floor coverings and fit edge trims in doorways
- Sand, stain and finish a variety of timber floors
