Salary: $50,370 inclusive of superannuation.
Location: Narrabri, NSW
We are a busy hotel located in Narrabri, NSW. We are now seeking an experienced chef who can work 5 days per week (must be able to work weekends).
- planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- preparing and cooking food
- explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- may select and train staff
- may freeze and preserve foods
- Minimum 2 years work experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work professionally under pressure and poses good time management skills.
- Have a strong work ethic.
- Must be punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
